Texas Is One of 7 States With the Highest Demand for HVAC Technicians

If you're an HVAC technician, there's good news: your skills are in high demand in several states, including in our home state of Texas! According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the openings for HVAC professionals are expected to increase 5 percent in the U.S. between 2020 and 2030. The question is: where is most of that growth expected to occur?

When compiling our list, we considered two key qualifications: the number of HVAC workers employed and the number of anticipated job openings in the near future. The states below have huge populations of employed HVAC technicians and installers, and they also have the highest number of job openings anticipated between 2021 and 2028.

Florida

Texas

North Carolina
