Learn More About How We’re Protecting Ourselves & Our Customers
As an essential service provider,
Rescue Air Heating and Cooling plays a vital role in our society. Without
heating and
air conditioning contractors, people don’t have air conditioning, and we’re
expecting approximately 20 percent of all air conditioners in the Dallas
area to fail at some point this year. Whether you need your system fixed
or a new one installed, you need professionals to be there to help, and
that’s why we’re doing everything we can to keep our doors
open and continue to help our community.
Throughout the course of this pandemic, we’ve broken down our mission
into five simple but important goals:
Stay open
Protect our customers and our team
Ensure everyone we’re involved with feels comfortable and safe, including
our customers and the families of our team members
Remain operationally efficient to minimize unnecessary contact or possible spread
Plan for the worst-case scenario by remaining flexible
However, we also understand you’re doing everything in your power
to protect yourself, your home, and your family, and you want to do everything
you can to minimize exposure and slow the spread of COVID-19. We agree,
and we’re united in our mission to do everything we can to achieve
this goal as well. To this end, we’ve implemented a number of special
procedures to work toward this goal.
Social Distancing
Social distancing is an important factor in limiting the spread of COVID-19,
and we have taken some fairly extreme measures to reduce face to face
contact to an absolute minimum, and to make sure that any face to face
contact is done from an appropriate distance and with proper safety protocols in place.
Our office staff is working in offset shifts, and those who are able to
work from home have been provided with the tools and equipment to do so.
Because certain members of our team will need to be present at the office
in order for our company to continue to run smoothly, we’ve taken
additional steps to protect them, including installing air scrubbers throughout
our office to greatly reduce the chances of the virus passing through the air.
Any meetings of more than two people are done remotely via Zoom.
We have transitioned to remote dispatching, allowing workers to be sent
to jobs without having to make unnecessary trips back to the office.
We have minimized indoor activity as much as possible.
We are providing both breakfast and lunch at our office to allow technicians
to avoid having to make those stops during their shift.
Techs are limited to just three to four stops per shift in order to minimize
the number of homes they are in each day.
Staying Clean
Cleanliness stops the spread of the disease, so we’re taking a ton
of additional precautions to clean our work areas, including our service
trucks and other field equipment.
We have one staff member exclusively dedicated to using a duct cleaning
fogger to sterilize our service trucks every day. That same service tech
is the one who brings the parts bins from the truck inside to restock
them, ensuring the service tech who his out in the field never has to
go inside our facility.
We have our office professionally cleaned daily so our workers show up
to a clean facility for every shift.
All field technicians are under strict instructions to wear latex gloves,
shoe covers, and a protective N95 mask for the duration of every job they
perform. When the job is complete, they must wash their hands and use
hand sanitizer to keep their hands clean.
We have installed air scrubbers in every vehicle to keep the environment
inside sterile and healthy while also minimizing the chances of a tech
accidentally carrying something from job to job.
Additional Precautionary Measures
While we’re taking an extensive number of steps to protect our technicians,
we also ask that our customers help take care of us. When you call to
schedule an appointment, we will ask you a few additional questions to
protect our safety. Additionally, if you or anyone in your home has been
sick or even felt ill in the past two weeks, we are taking added precautions
by rescheduling your service. We’re doing this to ensure our techs
remain protected. We are also observing a six-foot social distancing rule
for the duration of our visit with your home.
