The 4 Steps On How To Reset A Lennox Furnace

There’s nothing better on the market than a Lennox furnace. You've tried everything to fix your furnace, looked at the thermostat and even changed out the air filter to see if that would help. But, If your system overheats or experiences a similar malfunction, you can simply reset your furnace. Here are the 4 steps needed to reset your Lennox furnace, Find your electrical panel and switch the breaker that controls your furnace, and have it up and running again in seconds. Below you'll find out where your Lennox furnace reset button is and how to properly reset your furnace.

Step One:

Find your electrical panel and switch off the electrical supply to your furnace. This will eliminate the risk of any electrical injuries.

Flip the circuit breaker switch labeled “Furnace” or “Heating System” into the “Off” position.

Step Two:

Look at the control panel on your furnace. The control panel could be located on the bottom panel on downflow furnaces or the top panel on upflow models.

Once you find the control panel, lift the panel up and away from the appliance — you can set this aside for now.

Step Three:

Examine your furnace and look for a raised button or switch to the right of the ignition control box (or the “ Lennox limit switch reset").

Press and release the limit control switch to rest your Lennox furnace.

Step Four:

To replace the furnace control access panel, follow these instructions in reverse.

Flip the “Furnace” or “Heating System” switch to the “On” position.
